Purpose of the petition

Request Luxembourg authorities to protect single-parent families and vulnerable residents from eviction, ensure access to healthcare, and provide support for employment and social integration.

Reason for the petition

In Luxembourg, many single-parent families and residents facing financial hardship find themselves in critical situations: loss of housing, difficulty accessing healthcare, persistent unemployment despite sustained efforts, and lack of institutional support. This situation endangers their safety, health, and dignity. Official statistics: • 43% of single-parent households in Luxembourg are at risk of poverty • 26% of households with children reported financial difficulties in 2023 • Between April 2023 and September 2024, an average of 15.5 tenant evictions per month were recorded Social and medical consequences: Social isolation, deterioration of mental and physical health, increased risk of marginalization. Children are exposed to poverty, school dropout, and health problems. Call to action: We urge Luxembourg authorities to: 1. Protect tenants and families threatened with eviction. 2. Ensure access to healthcare for all residents without discrimination. 3. Provide personalized support for employment integration. 4. Establish programs specifically supporting single-parent families in precarious situations. Every individual deserves to live in safety, dignity, and with equitable access to essential services. This petition aims to raise awareness among authorities and civil society about this critical situation.
