Purpose of the petition
Rather than increasing social security contribution rates, which will primarily impact the lowest incomes, the cap on social security contributions should be removed, and this measure alone would generate an additional EUR300 million per year. Moreover, these contributions are deductible from income tax without any limitations.
Reason for the petition
"If nothing happens, we will have to increase health insurance contributions in 2027," warned Martine Deprez. In May, the Ministry of Health and Social Security forecast a negative result of EUR133 million. Removing the contribution cap would more than cover the CNS's projected deficit.

Title of the petition: NON à l'augmentation des taux des cotisations Aim of the petition: Plutôt que d'augmenter les taux des cotisations sociales, ce que impactera, surtout, les plus bas revenus, il faudra enlever le plafonnement des cotisations sociales, et cette mesure, à elle seule, générerait 300 millions d'euros supplémentaires par an. En plus, ces cotisations sont déductibles de l'impôt sur le revenu sans aucune limitation. Motivation of the general interest of the petition: « Si rien ne se passe, nous devrons augmenter les cotisations d'assurance maladie en 2027 », a averti Martine Deprez. En mai, le ministère des Affaires sociales a prévu un résultat négatif de 133 millions d'euros. Le déplafonnement des cotisations couvrirait largement le déficit prévu de la CNS.
