Purpose of the petition
In 2009 legete der verstorbene Jacques Barrot ein Vorschlag für eine einfachere Regelung von Erbsachen mit Auslandsbezug und für mehr Rechtssicherheit der Eu-Kommission vor. Vereinfacht gesagt ist das Erbrecht dem Staat zugeordnet wo der Verstorbener zuletzt offiziell gelebt hat, doch die Erbsteuer unterliegt nicht dem Staat des Verstorbenen sondern den vom Erbe. Hier fehlt ein Doppelbesteuerungsabkommen zwischen Luxemburg und Deutschland.
