Petitions to the Chamber of Deputies

OBJECT : Most cases of child sexual abuse are committed by someone the child knows, not by a stranger-and thrive in silence. Luxembourg has toughened penalties, but these come after the fact. This petition calls for action beforehand: teaching children early on about their rights and whom to confide in, training adults to recognize the signs, and supporting those at risk before any abuse occurs.

OBJECT : In 2024, the Luxembourg police responded to 1,178 domestic violence incidents-nearly 100 per month, and the number is rising. In the most serious cases, 81% of the victims are women. We do a lot after the fact, but almost nothing beforehand. This petition calls for a mandatory school curriculum, starting in elementary school, on respect, equality, and consent-to tackle the root of the problem.

OBJECT : We call upon the Chamber of Deputies and the Government of Luxembourg to establish a national program for the modernization of traffic lights throughout the country by introducing intelligent traffic management systems capable of adapting in real time to actual traffic conditions.
