Petitions to the Chamber of Deputies

OBJECT : La présente pétition vise à moderniser et à simplifier l'accès à la défense des droits des consommateurs au Grand-Duché de Luxembourg à travers trois objectifs principaux : 1. La création d'une plateforme numérique nationale, publique et centralisée (sur le modèle d'un "Livre de Réclamations Électronique") accessible à tous les citoyens et aux entreprises. 2. L'instauration d'une obligation légale pour tout professionnel opérant sur le territoire luxembourgeois de répondre formellement aux réclamations déposées par les clients sur cette plateforme, dans un délai strict et encadré par la loi. 3. L'interconnexion automatique de cet outil avec les autorités de régulation sectorielles existantes et le Service National du Médiateur de la Consommation, afin de garantir un suivi transparent, d'accélérer le règlement amiable des litiges et de dissuader les pratiques commerciales abusives.

OBJECT : Our dogs are part of the family - they shouldn't be forced to wait alone outside the bakery, the butcher's or the gelateria. Problems: - Animals left outside are sometimes stolen - During heatwaves, being left tied up outside is dangerous for them. - Queues prolong the wait and cause stress for owners. The proposal - To allow dogs on a lead and under their owner's supervision into local shops (bakeries, butchers, ice-cream parlours, grocery shops), except in areas expressly prohibited for health or safety reasons - Introduce simple and practical rules: leashes compulsory; dogs permitted only if they do not disrupt service; no entry to preparation areas without a barrier; owners liable for any damage - Raise awareness amongst shopkeepers and the public about responsible behaviour (picking up after their dogs, keeping them on a leash, muzzling them if necessary)

OBJECT : To formally request the Chamber of Deputies and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research to promote and fund the creation of Bachelor's degree programs taught entirely in English at the University of Luxembourg. This offering should cover strategic academic fields, specifically including a Bachelor in Educational Sciences to train future teachers for the international public school system locally.
