L'objectif est de permettre la prise en compte des enfants dans le calcul de l'aide sur base du jugement de garde, même si ceux-ci ne sont pas officiellement domiciliés à l'adresse du demandeur ou que ce dernier ne perçoit pas les allocations familiales.
