Safety is a fundamental right, yet a growing sense of insecurity is gripping our streets. Current police presence is clearly insufficient to protect citizens from rising street crime and public disturbances. We respectfully ask the Chamber of Deputies take immediate action to: 1. Substantially increase visible police foot patrols across urban areas around the clock. 2. Drastically strengthen night shifts to secure our streets when risk is highest. 3. Deploy the immediate human and material resources necessary to restore public safety While police forces do an admirable job with available resources, current patrol levels-especially during late-night and overnight hours-are insufficient to effectively deter petty crime, public disturbances, and anti-social behavior.

The general interest of this petition is to safeguard public security, protect fundamental citizen rights, and ensure that all residents, workers, and visitors can move safely through public spaces across the country at any time of day or night. Strengthening community policing preserves social peace and the overall well-being of society.
