Purpose of the petition
The petition calls for English to be recognized as an officially accepted language for submitting public petitions to the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, alongside French, German, and Luxembourgish. Reason for the petition

Title of the petition: Pour la reconnaissance officielle de l'anglais dans le processus de pétition publique au Luxembourg Aim of the petition: La pétition demande que l'anglais soit reconnu comme langue officiellement acceptée pour la soumission de pétitions publiques à la Chambre des députés du Luxembourg, aux côtés du français, de l'allemand et du luxembourgeois. L'objectif est de rendre le processus de pétition plus inclusif pour le grand nombre de résidents anglophones, dont beaucoup sont des citoyens de longue date et participent activement à la vie économique, sociale et civique du pays. Motivation of the general interest of the petition: Malgré la politique multilingue du Luxembourg et la présence d'une version anglaise du site de pétitions, l'anglais n'est pas actuellement accepté comme langue valide pour la soumission de pétitions. Cela constitue un obstacle à la participation démocratique pour une grande partie de la population, notamment ceux qui ne maîtrisent pas suffisamment le français, l'allemand ou le luxembourgeois. Le Luxembourg accueille des milliers de résidents anglophones de longue durée, y compris des titulaires de cartes bleues européennes, des chercheurs et des professionnels transfrontaliers.
