OBJECT : Mir fuerderen d'Lëtzebuerger Regierung an d'Chamber op, konkret Moossnamen ze huelen, fir der akuter Wunnengsnout am Land entgéintzewierken.Mir proposéieren, datt de Staat oder d'Gemengen gezielt Terrain opkaafen, déi aktuell net benotzt ginn oder net fir grouss Immobilieprojeten reservéiert sinn, an dës Plazen fir kleng, energieeffizient Tiny Houses ze notzen.Dësen Projet soll et méiglech maachen, Tiny Houses fir e sozialen Präis vu 500 EUR pro Mount un Bierger am nidderegen oder mëttlere Revenu auszeginn. D'Haaptziil ass, séier bezuelbar a qualitativ Wunnengen ze schafen, besonnesch fir Jonker, Eenzeler an Familljen, déi sech aktuell keng regulär Locatiounen oder Hypotheken leeschte kënnen.Mir plädéiere fir:D'Identifikatioun vu Staats- oder Gemengen-Terrainen, déi fir dëse Projet kënne genotzt ginn.Eng Sécherstellung, datt d'Haiser nohalteg, energieeffizient an ëmweltfrëndlech gebaut ginn.Eng transparent Gestioun mat sozial gerechter Prioritéitslëscht fir Locatairen.D'Promotioun vum Konzept vun alternativen a gemeinschaftleche Wunnformen am ganze Land.Sou en nationale Programm fir Tiny Houses géif net nëmme Wunnengsgeleeënheeten schafen, mee och eng kulturell a wirtschaftlech Dynamik am Land fërderen, déi op Nohaltegkeet a Solidaritéit baséiert.

For a public intercultural and multilingual library in Luxembourg

Public petition

4006

Submission date 13/03/2026

OBJECT : For a public intercultural and multilingual library in Luxembourg: a vibrant space to celebrate our diversity Luxembourg is home to 180 nationalities, with 47% of residents holding foreign nationality. This human richness is our strength, but it deserves a concrete place in which to fully express itself: a public intercultural and multilingual library, open to everyone. Why is this project essential? • Access to reading for all: books in all family (mother-tongue) languages, free and accessible, so that every child and every family can read and learn in their own language • Equal opportunities: reducing inequalities in access to culture and education by offering resources tailored to all communities • A space for encounter: a place where cultures meet, stories are shared, and people learn from one another • Support for family-language or mother-tongue schools: more than 40 schools teaching over 30 languages could find resources and a space for their activities • A model of integration: demonstrating that Luxembourg, a multilingual country, can be an example of social cohesion and peaceful coexistence

For fair rents and accessible housing in Luxembourg

Public petition

4045

Submission date 05/04/2026

OBJECT : We, the citizens of Luxembourg, call for the implementation of legal measures that guarantee fair and affordable rents. These measures should allow all families, young adults, and low-income individuals to live in decent housing, while protecting private landlords and social housing providers. To achieve this goal, we propose: - Capping rents, based on apartment size, condition, and location, to limit excessive increases and ensure affordable housing. - Clear and transparent rental contracts, securing the rights and obligations of tenants and landlords. - Development of innovative solutions such as Mietkauf (rent-to-own), allowing tenants to gradually become homeowners while ensuring landlords receive stable and secure income. - Tax incentives or subsidies for landlords who maintain fair rents or adopt rent-to-own solutions.
