OBJECT : The purpose of this petition is to strengthen consumer rights in Luxembourg by introducing into the Consumer Code a strict principle of contractual and financial reciprocity vis-à-vis businesses and professionals (specifically across the banking, insurance, telecommunications, energy, and e-commerce sectors). The objective is to grant users and consumers the legal authority to charge standard administrative/handling fees or obtain automatic, regulated compensation when a persistent technical malfunction, digital interface outage, or processing failure attributable to the service provider forces the user to perform time-consuming manual procedures to fulfill contractual obligations or assert their rights. The petition also calls for the mandatory, automatic waiver of all ancillary fees, reminder costs, or penalties claimed by a provider whenever a delay or complication stems from an outage or bug in its own digital systems.

OBJECT : Cette démarche ne vise pas à stigmatiser les personnes souffrant d'une addiction ni celles qui ont consommé des drogues dans le passé. L'objectif principal est de garantir la sécurité et le bien-être des enfants et des adolescents. Toute personne qui assume professionnellement une responsabilité à l'égard de mineurs occupe une fonction fondée sur la confiance et implique une responsabilité particulière. C'est pourquoi des règles claires et uniformes doivent s'appliquer à ces activités. Nous demandons donc aux autorités compétentes du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg de mettre en place un cadre légal pour des dépistages obligatoires de drogues et de garantir que les personnes dont la consommation de drogues a été établie ne puissent pas exercer une activité impliquant une responsabilité directe à l'égard d'enfants ou d'adolescents. La protection des enfants et des adolescents doit rester une priorité absolue.

OBJECT : This petition calls upon the Government and the Chamber of Deputies: to raise the tax-deductible ceiling applicable to employees' personal contributions to supplementary occupational pension schemes from EUR1,200 to at least EUR4,500 per year; and to provide for the periodic adjustment of this ceiling so that its real value is not progressively eroded by inflation. This increase would align the second-pillar ceiling with the EUR4,500 ceiling now applicable to individual third-pillar retirement savings plans.
